This man was at the bottom of the Hamam (bathing house). He kept the fire aflame so the water would be hot. While he was down there he cooked goats' legs as well.

We adopted a cat (Miss Mish) and cleaned her up for the night.

We were in Morocco the week before elections. There were rallies and singing and chanting everywhere.

Seeing this guy around town was surreal. He always had the same expression - a faint, hopeful smile. He moved slowly, didn't speak and he dangled toy camels from his fingers.
